Dane Cook is not a comedian, he is a teller of long, rambling stories. It just so happens that his long, rambling stories are hilarious.

A lot of people seem to dislike him. That’s not surprising; I don’t agree with them, but I understand that Dane Cook mad his success by hyper-hyperboling his own experiences (some obviously imagined in a drug-fueled hazed), so there’s a lot of hate out there because of it: “the guy is just making shit up about his life!” after all, but isn’t that comedy?
